Happy Birthday Neil!

Neil Young is 62 years young today. So Happy Birthday Neil!!!

You can sing "Happy Birthday" to Neil along with a few hundred Pearl Jam fans. From over on Human Highway, a MP3 file is posted from November 12th, 1997, when Pearl Jam played the Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, CA. During the set, Eddie Vedder pulled out a cell phone and called Neil to wish him a Happy Birthday.

Maybe everyone will sing "Happy Birthday" to Neil tonight in Chicago?

I actually awoke this morning and the first thought I had in my groggy head was that it's Neil Young's birthday. Now, I've been known to forget my friends' birthdays, as well as some family members'. Is it odd that I have no problem remembering Mr. Young's? I guess that shows how special he is to those of us that truly get him.

In any case, I'm doing my own show of live music tonight, and due to the auspicious date of 11/12, I'm going to cover Neil's songs exclusively.
