The latest issue of Broken Arrow Magazine, published by the Neil Young Appreciation Society arrived last month and we're just now finishing up reading the issue. As always a nice read -- especially as we try and unwind from all of the recent excitement.

And -- thanks to the generous support of NYAS and editor Scott Sandie -- we're pleased to be able to offer a copy of the latest issue of Broken Arrow Magazine to a Thrasher's Wheat reader. Details follow below.

Issue #115 (August 2009) of Broken Arrow Magazine - as usual - has some fine articles, commentary and nice photos.

In particular, a very deep heart felt obituary to the late Johnny Marr -- truly one of the great unsung Neil fans -- who passed away so sadly at the age of 48. Editor Scott Sandie brings Johnny's story to life as he looks back at the many contributions he made to the Broken Arrow and the Neil community through his photography and collecting. A very big loss for us all. Johnny's family has requested that donations be made to The Bridge School -- a cause which Johnny was truly devoted to.

Also in the issue:

• An in-depth review of the Neil Young archives by Omar Zia. This is one of the most comprehensive reviews assembled of the Archives by one of the leading experts in the field of Archiveology.
• More Archives commentary by John Einarson, NYAS #5285, John Ridley, NYAS #2881 and David Green.
• Road Reports from 2009 European tour

And as usual, a news section edited by Guy Haslam, with lots of innarestin' items.

Also included in the issue is a tribute to Johnny Marr's photography with a multi-page center spread of his Neil Young photos over the years.
