Just home after tonight's show.

It was of course good and parts were brilliant, highlights for me were the two song encore 'Fuckin' up' and 'Tonight's the night'.

Neil and Ralph did their crazy drum / guitar mash up duet thing on 'Fuckin' up' and then after a pause while the grand piano was rolled back on Neil came back on in big round shades and they played a wonderfully intense 'Tonight's the night'.

I hadn't heard 'Fuckin' up' before on this tour but it was nearly as good as Cinnamon girl on the opening night here in London. .

I heard 'Tonight's the night' on the last night in Toronto but tonights was way better - for me anyway.

Neil was quite talkative during the acoustic set, well rambling really! Well at any other show it would have been rambling but it's always good to hear Neil talking about stuff.

The Grandma Jean in Flin Flon story again with more detail about her wilder side and after Homegrown an explanation about how at first it seemed a song about drugs but could be about organic home grown food or maybe even homegrown fuel ie. bio diesel.

He then gave us a short lecture on biofuel, electric vehicles and stuff before rememberinng that this was Rock and Roll and going back to the music.

A few references to 'the last show' or as he corrected it 'the last one of this set of shows'.

Big smile on his face on lots of occasions, especially during the very final song of the evening which was, of course, The Sultan.

A dissapointingly seated audience again, I was glad to 'only' have a ticket to stand at he back of the stalls where I could jump about a bit. Half way through the electric set someone shouted out 'Why don't you stand up?' and the bloke standing next to me replied 'Rock and Roll for the over sixties'.

I'm sure we youngsters'll be able to do a bit more leaping about in the summer. I'm off to Belgium for July 4th then back to Kent for July 6th.

And is there really anybody out there who thinks Dylan could do a show as good as this? Dylan's history, still good but history, Neil is still here and now.

I have over fifty Neil CDs and dozens of vinyl albums but I can't place the third or fifth acoustic songs from tonight's show.

Wonderful to still be hearing stuff I don't know.

And I hope someone one day gets out of Neil the whole story about the set for these concerts and the painter idea and the outfits and the wheeling of the clothes across the stage at the end... did that happen in New York as well?

14 March...Friday Night. Flew in from Amsterdam with my 2 neices......one who flew overnight from the States for the show. This was my 2nd show on this tour...saw 20 Feb with my Son in Amsterdam.

Neil looked more relaxed tonight, acoustic set was basically like A'Dam.....you could hear a pin drop as he played and samg. His voice is 99% perfect.....cracking every once in a while letting you know he is not 25 anymore.

We ggot Mellow My mind as his "Bonus Song" because it was Friday Night....and "Fridays are not like other nights you know".

Cowgirl and Old man finished the acoustic set and they were both magical.

Mr Soul started out the electric set and it was fully charged up. He did oh lonsome me and the believer close to the end and they mellowed things down a bit....I turned to my niece and said he was going to go big and loud in a minute and he took Old Black and did No Hidden Path. It was definately more charged than Amsterdam.....he and Rick really rocking back and forth together. He turned and looked at the crazy orange light every so often as he was jamming then came back and rocked. It was nothing short of awsome.

Cinnamon Girl was first encore and then he went to the Piano. he was probably 10 feet from us (being in row C on the left side near the piano.) As everybody was cheering he asked out loud "Wheres Bruce" then went into an eerie version of Tonights The Night. He can really still hit those high notes.....It was again nothing short of awsome. At the end he just kept asking in ever lower voice "Where's Bruce, hey, Where's Bruce".

We got 25 songs and they were great.

2 downsides, albeit very minor, the UK crowd kept getting up in the middle of songs and moving around, leaving their seats and all. Also, they were filming the show in force....10 cameras all around and that was a bit distracting. whe we got to our seats mid Peggy's set there was a camera man, a computer monitor and an assistant in our places.....they moved.

THANKS NEIL, GREAT TOUR AND SEE YOU IN JUNE AND JULY. GO BIG, GO CRAZY AS IN CRAZY HORSE.

Barely recovering from a week (and 4 fabulous shows) in London. So nice to meet some of the Euro fans festing at the Ram.

Whilst appreciating it's way after everbody else (all of whom are highly articulate). Thanks Neil, Peggi and Co....you made my friends *0th birthday on the 15th at Hammersmith.

Goose bumps, shivers and admiration at such fantasic sets. If only we could be 1/2 as artistic and creative at your age, we would fight on!

It was a fantastic feeling for me to see Neil with my son who is more or less the same age I was when I first listened to his music (13 or 14 about the beginning of the seventies) and discovered this great man whose soul is reflected in everything he does, and that's what makes it so special.
And that's what has made me walk through life rocked by a different music for each different moment and feeling, but always felt very near from my heart.

So, if anyone had told me at that time, when I was just a school girl, that one day in the future, in 2008, I would be in a Neil's concert with my family, and that specially my son was going to enjoy it as much as me, I wouldn't have believed it, but that was what happened on the 15 march concert in London, where we travelled to see him from Madrid.

And now we are looking forward to seeing him here again in June!!

The great spirit bless you, Neil!!!

Just a week before this concert actually happened, I knew nothing about having a ticket for it!! My wife and I were given it by a load of great friends for my 40th Birthday.

This was the best present anyone could ever have. The acoustic set was only matched in intensity by the electric half. Neil is at the top of his game at the moment. I could not believe he was this good. When the gong was rolled out by the "Sultan" for the same titled song.....well words fail me. There was I must admit a tear in this eye to be experiencing first-hand this "rarity".

The fact that we missed our last Train home in a strange way added to the whole "Rock and Roll" evening.

Thanks Neil....and thanks to my great friends for the ticket.

In reply to Luckypaul there is nothing disappointing about the audience remaining seated at the Hammersmith concerts - its the best way to properly appreciate the music especially the acoustic set. I seem to remember everyone was seated at Wembley in 1974 for the CSNY concert for most of the time.

Also us long term fans from the 60s and in our 60s are proud to enjoy 'Rock and Roll for the over sixties'- do I detect a whiff of ageism from Luckypaul.

A great concert and my high light was A Man Needs a Maid.
